I used to see one of these flying over Dunedin every morning while on my paper run. That was a few years back now .

Well it turned out OK for the "Dads army" that was absorbed into Air NZ

I say, it must have been painful having to give a job to such peasants who were not ex RNZAF .

The "Whistling Wheelbarrow". The machine that took a 100 miles to get to cruising altitude when loaded, Auckland to Ohura NDB and hopefully reach 8,000ft.

Flew em in the Ewe Kay.They werent brilliant for sure, but I would have thought maybe a little better than that,although Kiwi has been known to get above 15C on the odd day..

be nice if they could do one on NAC as well since that was a big part of NZ aviation history.
