Qantas "AIRLINES"

Since when has the flying rat been known as Qantas Airlines ? I always knew it as Qantas Airways . Why has the name changed ? call me old fashioned but somethings should be left alone . Does this annoy any one else ???

Qantas Airways Ltd is the name of the 'Group'.

Qantas Airlines is 'mainline'. Then you have QantasLink, Jetstar, Jetconnect, Qantas Flight Catering Ltd, etc, etc.

Don't ask me why, I don't make the rules. I just suffer through this weeks five year plan in silence!
