It was a she....
She shouldn't have flown on that day,
She should've cancelled like she did the day before.
Like someone mentioned before, She hasn't seen real weather.
The weather wasn't the problem on the day in question.
The skill of the pilot should be questioned.

Sure she might now the theory, rules and regs but can she fly?

The answer can be found in the nose wheel

Channel 7 "said" it was during a T/O....
regarding the pilot, even though I still belief safety is first. I guess she had her reason to takeoff that day, since she had already cancelled her previous flight.

I mentioned the weather - and it was not directed implicitly at this pilot.

Oh dear, we are all getting a bit twitchy now - ducking and weaving.

Come on, I want to know what happened - don't be scared. Its not like it's the first time some one has wrecked an a/c, by combining poor judgement, poor weather and insufficient flying skills.

Ok, what I heard from the engineers. Was during the take-off roll. Pilot noticed the there was no acceleration on airspeed so decided to abort the run. Guess she was carrying more speed than she thought.
I also have a a pic of aircraft. If anyone can host it send me a msg and will Email it.
Cheers

Woodn't have anything to do with a pitot cover? Was the airspeed or lack of it referenced against the GPS - just a thought.
Coops - anything to do with marine creatures?

Dont think it was the pitot cover, Think they might be leaning towards water in the lines. It did have an airspeed but not a great deal ie 60kts so she tried to pull it up.

Thumbs down

How many times has that aircraft been pranged?
When it was with Burger King Airlines (Cirrus) it was gutsed at Parkes - and wasn't it pranged again shortly after that?

....lucky it came to rest on that pallet though, that will make it much easier to pick it up with a forklift
