And people love to bag QF. Well some of it is deserved, mostly the board and up town, but mostly the crew are great.
Your post confirms my business partners lats trip in April to Europe and return.
Have to say that Southwest, is pretty good, a LCC indeed but its pretty slick and you do get reasonable service.
Going to Perth on Friday QF, been a while for a QF domestic so will see what its like.

I do think that we should not complain of full flights but rather we should complain of no space between seats - it is not acceptable to travel around the world crammed together. If it was a workplace this would not happen.
I think that the new thought process on seating arrangements has been sourced by folk who have never flown world wide.

Muttley,
QANTAS, not "Quantas".
You know, one of only 38 airlines in the world with a 4- or 5-star Skytrax rating. The one which keeps on increasing its load factor and revenue stream (ie. punters paying their money and piling in).
Someone must be getting served.

Hi All,
Thanks to everyone who suggested that I could simply pay more $$$ or use points - if I had plenty of either I wouldn't have asked. (Derrrr!)
Thanks too for the suggestion that we "be nice to the cabin crew" I'm always nice to cabin crew. I'm always nice to everyone!
The opinions are evenly divided whether early or late check in is best as far as getting upgrade. Due to the possibility that we might not get on the flight if too late (does this really happen?) - I think we'll just turn up early and be our usual courteous and delightfull selves - and see what happens.
Cheers all,
Di

tell the check in staff that you suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and that you need a bulk head seat other wise you may soil yourself if you cannot get to the toilets in a hurry and the cabin crew will extremely put out , not to mention the smell.
Believe me it works!
