David Clark X11 volume potentiometers

Hello.
I bought the David Clark X11 headset. It a very confortable headset and has a good global noise reduction. I fly on HR20, which is powered by a 120 hp lycoming.
I have a question: when I turn volume potentiometers on both ears, I can't hear increasing or decreasing sound level of voice or music player.
So I wonder if my headset as a problem. (Have I been done, or am I getting deaf?)
Who can give me info on that subject?
Thank you.

The volume controls on the earpiece does not affect the volume of the auxilary input (MP3 player/Phone etc). That volume control is actioned by the input device iteslf (i.e turn the MP3 player up or down). However (on mine anyway) the earpiece controls do control the radio volume, so you may well have a problem.
Try playing with the stereo/mono switch and see if that makes any difference.

Don't know what Capt Hairdryers post has to do with the thread. Try Ebay if you are trying to sell something mate. The Bose/X11 thing has been done to death.

Thank you very much for your answer BEACH KING.
Do the volume knobs have an effect on radio volume if the active noise reduction system is off?
Are this effects (in any case: NRR on or off) very sensitive, I mean, can I feel the difference instantaneously between a minimum volume and a maximum volume knob position?
Have nice flights.

My problems are solved.
I can increase or decrease the volume on each cups when I listen to ATC.
I am happy of my DC X11.
I recommend it to people looking for comfortable and light headset. The sound of your voice is very clear and the reception of ATC too. Moreover, it's a good looking headset and it's easy to set my cap above it.
My cell phone works well plugged on DC X11, even if you hear the Ghz-phone- waves transmission.
I tried a Bose X on a PA46 pistons, these was great, maybe a little better considering that malibu's engine gives 300 hp, and I use my DC X11 on a 120 hp powered plane.
But DC is 250 US $ cheaper. So for private pilot, I think, with my small experience, that DC X11 is a good choice.
Bon vent!! (word by word : good wind)
