Aviation Helmet Resprays

Does anyone know where I can send my SPH Helmet for a new paint job? Preferably in ACT or NSW. And what sort of money does it cost?

Cheers

Angus

Any good paint shop should be able to handle it. Our guys used to get the hangar LAME's who were paint knowlegable to do it for them.

Thanks guys for the offer. But as it needs to be stripped down for the spraying, I figured I would get someone who knows how to rebuild it so it works again when finished.

But if I cant I will keep the textas in mind.
Thanks

Have a flick through the motorcycle mags at the local newsagent. Plenty of guys advertising airbrush helmet painting.

Thanks, but as I said, the hemet needs to be stripped down and rebuilt after spraying and I dont want anyone who is not fully competant, pulling it apart and playing with it.

But thanks anyway.

Can I ask why the stripping down and rebuilding of the helmet is integral to the re-painting of it?

Because I want it done properly and looking professional. Not just bits of it.

I take it you dont have one. There are all sorts of bits that need to be removed, like small plastic covers over screws and the visor cover, and the NATO plug connection into the helmet etc etc. .

Cheers

Anyone know of a cream that I can apply to my upper lip to ensure I grow a full and decent moustache? Just wouldnt be worth spending the money on the repspray without a good mo to go with it.

Did you end up finding anyone to paint your bone-dome?

If so, whom? And were you satisfied with the work?

No havent done it yet. Been preoccupied with other things, like trying to buy land and build a house. Helmet respray was pushed way down the list of things to do before I die.
