Quite a claim.

Seen this advertised in Pilot.

Where did you buy from and at what price?

Has anybody worked out how to copy that vid to their hard drive? None of the 6 flash capture programs I've tried will do it!

I was getting teary just watching the opening sequence on the web site there, and I'm a hard core rotary fan. I love all that sentimental stuff, you know ... To Those Who Have Gone Before, and all that sort of thing.

Make sure the copy you order is compatible with aussie DVD players. I purchased my copy from Western Airmotive over in WA - $35 (including postage if I can remember correctly).

Go on don't be tight, buy the DVD! I reckon it's the best value for money I have ever spent on something aviation related!

If you have a multi region DVD player (which most made in the last 3 to 4 years are), there is no problem! I have the US version works fine and beaut!

Oddly enough, I wasn't that impressed as I was expecting the DVD to have more flying sequences in it. I wasn't aware that it was, in fact, simply a history of Van Nuys airport rather than a "flying" DVD. Unfortunately, I bought both DVDs (Runway 16 Right and Runway 16 Left) only to find that many things were repeated in both DVDs. Bit of a waste of money from my perspective, although some of the flying sequences (DC3 landing) were exceptionally good.

Have to agree with you QSK. Great doco about the airport, but more about the love of flying would have made it more enjoyable.

Maybe they could make a similar thing about Archerfield?
