Nouvelle Caledonie

Gday everyone,

Having had the pleasure of recently flying in and out of Magenta and Tontouta, I was wondering what the work prospects would be like for an Aussie with our quietly spoken neighbour over there.

Having had a bit of a browse around the site on info regarding the possibility of getting some work in this frog stronghold, and without much luck, I was wondering if there are any Aussies out there who have found any flying work over there and could fill me in with any info at all on the process and challenges with finding some work.

I understand a JAA conversion is necessary, but before getting carried away, is there much work to start with or do the jobless from the mother land come down and snap them up pretty quickly? Would love to hear of anyone's experiences over there and any constructive advice if there's some out there.

Cheers
