DHC 6 info
Does anyone have any information related to the Twin Otter.
I am intersted in anything that would prepare me for possible questions related to this type.
Thanks

Carries a load, short TO and landing. Solid as a rock, PT6 engines and will punch along at almost 100 kts.
What else do you need to know, it is a truck.
Q: Can we carry this
A: Yes
Q: Can we land here
A: Yes
Q: Do you know what you are doing
A: Yes

When studying for a position, always concentrate on your current type, no prospective employer expects you to know about an aircraft you have never flown...

Use wikipedia.org, full of pretty decent aircraft info, can't guarantee accuracy but I guess whatever is on there is just lifted off Google anyway, search 'airlines' as well, comes up with a comprehensive list of operators globally, you can then see the fleets they operate

...........there's an old saying that goes for anything in life where a possible job is at hand............"chance favours the prepared mind".........obviously means there's a good chance if yr prepared.
To a point what Howard said is true but all employers will expect you to know something of the job at hand & in our case as pilots that usually means current ops & A/C type, general performance etc.
Anything in the DH range is well respected, I have a few hrs behind the wheel of a DH104 for Eg. & when I was snooping around for the job I read all I could about the old birds & it payed off.
Good luck but you won't need it much flying at around a 100 kts, wheels always down PT6 engines & the air inside the fuse is much the same as outside !:-)

Kinda hard now to believe that they used to do the YBTL-YBMK-YBRK run!
Don't know if they started in YBCS and ended up in YBBN like the Dash 8s do.
Never had the pleasure of finding out, but YBTL - YBRK in a Twotter - what a pain!
