Australian Recruitment in the next 6 months?
Hello everyone,
I was hoping that those people in the know will share their knowledge regarding the near future of recruitment in Australia. I am aware that Eastern's has ongoing recruitment....... Has VB started recruiting again? If so, how was the new process...... Jetstar? Qantas? Rex? National Jet etc... Would be much appreciated is there is some info out there.
The rumours are strongly saying that 2007 will be a good year for recruitment but when and with whom?

For QF mainline; Officially nothing until at least July, but i'd suggest it looks more like November or later at this stage... mind you this is a rumour network so don't take my word...

QF mainline may see a handful next year depending on how many leave. There have been a trickle of resignations in the last month or two with the possibility of many more to come. There is still a surplus of crews on several fleets.
However, to balance that out, the next recruitment will consist of cadets awaiting positions and I have heard that they amount to a significant number, enough to fill several courses.

A far as Qantas Mainline is concerned ,I would suggest that if this was a game of "Musical Chairs" ,the music has just stopped.
A good mate in management has just passed on that most promotional slots next year, '07, have been canned, including his.
So much for a half filled glass and a sky full of sunshine and i'm still unsure of where the lolly-pops come in ?
I'm sure the next edition of the Chief Pilot's will inform us !

New recruits to mainline on a different contract - I wonder how much they will be paid? Jetstar rates? Pay for your endorsement?
The future is looking really bright in mainline. Interesting to see how many more leave in the next 6 months.
