BRISBASH - The Annual
U-huh, here we are .....again 
Another year survived
BRISBASH
Now entering the 4th year (I think!)
For those new to the forums, or not familiar with the Brisbash concept, it’s basically a pissup of like-minded mere mortals with a collective interest in things that fly, doing their level best to stay upright until midnight LOL!!!!
(‘cos most of them are getting a bit grey and wrinkly by now….ooooo-ah, boy am I gonna pay for that one again this year!)
A change to the format;
VENUE The Norman Hotel http://www.normanhotel.com.au/
DATE Saturday December 16th 2006
TIME 16:00 onwards
As you can see, I've included the link to the Norman so you can access all address details, menu choices etc...
Accommodation is all around the Wooloongabba area...home to the famous 'Gabba' Cricket Ground
What is expected of YOU :
Uh - turn up
Um - Buy GoGirl LIIT's
haha! Figure out what a LIIT is
Anyway, as is the usual requirement of 'arranging' such an event, I will, of course, post a phone number a day or 2 before.
Anyone with questions or wanting to privately inform me of there intention to attend, can do so either via private message here on PPRuNe or you can email me at [email protected]
Alternatively, post you details of intent here, and let everyone condemn you for your choices

My travel arrangements are already in place for this event. Still trying to find a place to crash out in Brissy but feel confident of a reasonably-priced solution to this temporary problem!
Somebody better remind me to bring the Bash Register though!

In Brisbane I usually stay at The Point, only a short taxi ride from the Norman Hotel. But it isn't cheap - book thru Need-It-Now for the best discounts.
The Brekkie Creek was a pain in the butt last year. Far too many people, no room to move or expand - or hang GG's PPRuNe banner. Hope the new venue is an improvement!

Interesting going over those threads Torres ....
Regarding the Norman Hotel; we were fortunate enough a couple of years ago to have arranged a piss up there with Kaptin M and the like and it's a terrific venue.
The food actually rivals the Breakky Creek - given the guy who owns the Norman used to have the Breakky Creek Hotel!
It's a beer garden atmosphere and plenty of room. Actually, I recall that we 'took over' to nobody's objections - so the place can't be that bad
With any luck, the wx will hold. If not - pah...'sonly water
Now, what is of concern is that NOBODY has enquired re: LIIT's
This could be tragic

(lean being the operative there...don't say I didn't warn you!)
I will also be conducting a 'roll call' on this thread before long. That's also fair warning for those of you that have threatened attendance in years passed

GG. When I first read your post I accidentally read a similar word that starts with "T" - now why would I think of that where you are concerned???

Any park bench in the South Brisbane - Wooloogabba area and after living in PNG, you'll feel right at home with the other "Guests"!
Anyway, accommodation arrangements are now set in airconditioned concrete and brick, most ably supported by broadband internet access! Ahhhh, the delights of civilisation beckon...
