Airfields and golf course on the east coast?

Great thread a few months ago on golf courses in Victoria; anyone know of a golf course with accommodation and an airfield nearby on the east coast of Australia?

Bonville would be amazing but it's a bit far from Coffs Harbour.

Rydges Capricorn looks pretty good with 2 courses to play, but it seems like I'd have to catch a bus to the resort and course from Rocky.

Any advice?

How about Middle Ridge in Toowoomba? An absolute gem of a course with bent grass greens, something not too common for Queenslanders.

You'll still need to catch a cab though, but there are plenty of places to stay.

A couple off the top of my head

Kooralbyn SEQ hinterland - resort plus golf plus strip (~1400m if I recall correctly) all in walking distance

Inland NSW - Narromine - clubhouse/restaurant/accomodation across the road from the field

Tyagarah airfield at Byron bay. 4 decent courses all within 10mins drive of the airfield. Ocean Shores, Mullumbimby, Byron Bay resort, Byron Bay CLub. Always beautiful and green as there is plenty of rain around here.

Doesn't Laguna Quays, between Mackay & Proserpine, have a long sealed runway and golf course developement? I've only seen it inbound/outbound from Proserpine so don't know how close it is to any facilities.

There is a few courses around Marrochydore, one right on the southern boundary and 2 about 4 min drive north, as to whether they are pub. or private I dont know.

A lot of towns have golf courses, and a lot of towns have strips, so I reckon that would mean there will be a sh*t load of courses for you to choose from, tourism websites are the best because they will feature everything from courses to aerodromes, so just google towns and your half way there, happy hitting. Yes, Novotel Twin Waters resort is just north of Maroochy. Very good course, and pretty sure its public. There would be a good chance of a shuttle bus that runs from there to the airport as well.

There used to be a private strip in Noosa, unsure whether it's still open, but it would be close to some pretty good courses such as Noosa Springs. Don't hack up the place too much!
