Top effort,
All the pain, work, early starts, heat, rain, humidty would have been worth it.......just to breathe the same air as Jen.
Seriously, top work. My biggest regret from GA is not taking enough photos. I wish I had enjoyed the moment more.

well done for putting that up mate. Great to have a read of what is in the future for many of us.
Great to see the comeraderie of bush pilots alive and well. One of the big drawcards for me.
Would be good if more pilots did the same thing.

Great idea, wish I had kept a diary and taken more photos,I reckon I could write a good book of the 'stuff' that used to go on. Unfortunately now my memory is going and people remind me "remember when...." but it brings back some excellent memories.
Another fantastic/must read if your thinking of going up to the Kimberley is 'I flew for MMA' by Captain Reg Adkins.
ps. was that AEU on the mail run photo?

Hey Bok,
I've been struggling for 5 years to get my "foot in the door" mate in the wonderful world of aviation.
You have given me inspiration just before i was going to throw in the towel, and now there is a whole new meaning to my life.
I would love to hear some more war stories from your time in the top end.
Im thinking about giving up my office job in downtown sydney and hitting the road for the 3rd time in search of that dream job.
Well once again, i appreciate all your efforts, you have wonderful future in front of you. Hope your career progresses fast and hopefully one day ill have the privilege of flying with you.
All the best champ.
Regards
Da End

OMG Does Kim Chick really STILL work for Slingair.
That's hillarious, these guys had the worst reputation for accidents, incidents, pilot bastardization and general unsafe practices in the Kimberley. Either things have changed a hellavalot for the better since the demise of (Disco) George and Slingsby or else BOK mate you could sell cigarettes to lung cancer victims with a spin like that... I sincerely hope that the former is true.
One thing that is particularly impressive about Slingair is its reputation for Safety and Service with safety being the number one priority. A lot of GA companies encourage pilots to bend rules and most of the time they get away with it but sometimes rule bending will result in the bending of aeroplanes and over a period of years these companies bust planes and slowly end up fading out of the limelight. Slingair has done a good job at following the letter of the law 100% of the time yet keeping the service element critical to its core business – scenic flights. This approach has seen the business develop strongly.

Riding the Goat - mate I got around 350 hours for about 5 months of full time flying so I guess I averaged around 70 hours a month, some months a little more, some a little less. To get on the Chieftain with any of these companies, most people serve at least 2 years before they get a look in - from my observations anyway!
Death made simple - Yeah I'll put that dog fighting section up one day - I think you were the shooting king with a gun on the nose and on the tail!
Disco_Air - I'll call ya soon mate....are you back in ole Sydney town or still "fryin da baron" in Port Agutta?!
Thanks for all the comments guys - glad to see you like it so far.....

Stick in it out for the wet season night fright on the twins. The time is worth more than gold.
Your site should hopefully silence all those critics against working in Kunners. Once again a big

G'day Rookie.
It seems like a lifetime ago that a number of the posters on this thread were up there in Kununurra and although some of the posters on this thread haven't signed into Prooon for a couple of years I know we all have great memories of those days.
BOK hasn't signed in here for over 2 years... I don't know if he has given himself a new handle or just not signed in.
I'm not even sure if BOK's site is still in existance.
If you're looking for info or stories about flying in KU, there are a number of us who frequent this site who would no doubt be happy to answer your questions.
