Macca's Aerial Patrol RIP
It seems that nobody wants anything to do with the two slezy greeks from down south.
Today's Illawarra mercury has reported that the government has granted money for jet ski's and additional helicopter shark patrols this year, due to the fact that fixed wing patrols by Harry's mal practice have been next to useless. They found that ground based jet ski patrols and a rescue helicopter can achieve anything far greater than some amature's who over estimate the size of their catch, if any catch at all.
This comes after AusSAR have torn up their contract and the NSW police dont want anything to do with the Aerial Patrol due to the nature of the GM.
Whats next for the boys over red and yellow machines, how many more people can they rip off?
Can they stop the huge staff turnover created by Warren Gengos, their famous CP!!!
So where does all their charity money go if they do not conduct any community work?
ICAC watch this space.

It's about time that organisation went under. The CP is the biggest goose I've ever had the displeasure of meeting and the shark patrol was a complete scam. You could predict, down to the day, the big media release every year when the first shark had been sighted, just it time for patrol season to begin. Hope the pilots there manage to find other work soon - anywhere is going to be better than that place.

Must be two of them. I have 100 minutes in my log book checked out on a Turbo 210 in early 1974 and he seemed quiet professional and likeable. I'm still alive to tell the tale.

Where does all the money go?
Gumboots asks a very good question in his post! If the Aerial Patrol has lost their SAR contract and the State Government is now providing choppers and jet skis for their beach patrols, how can the Patrol maintain their charity status? It would appear all the money of late has gone to NSWAir Pty Ltd and their contract for baggage handling with QantasLink at Albion Park. Time the ATO reviewed their status I should think?

SAR Contract
"This comes after AusSAR have torn up their contract and the NSW police dont want anything to do with the Aerial Patrol due to the nature of the GM"
Oh please, get your info correct before making stupid comments like this. As at today, this and this place, the AAP still have the AusSAR contract as a Tier 1 operator and will do so until AERORESCUE units are up and running at which point AAP will step down to a Tier 4 operation.
If you want clarification, Call AMSA or AusSAR (02) 6279 5000.
Get a grip, use tweezers next time.
