I'd say they'd be pretty good while under the Pearl AOC, and they'll more than likely drop if they get their own. Anything to wear cargo pants and those 'SAR AIRCREW' shirts though...

.....bondage

....................aerorescue I believe have their fill of drivers for now, their bonding the guys with quite high figures to fly their Donier A/C also.

Not too sure what their looking for experience/personality wise for their future drivers but a couple of guys I know who had excellent qualifications with turbine experience etc. didn't even get a look in !

Things can change so much in just a couple of weeks....

What with the Chief Pilot bailing out so spectacularly, and rumours
of other more experienced people leaving.

They have very inexperienced crews flying those aeroplanes and CASA are now taking a closer look as the AOC application was not up to scratch.

They are advertising for Captains and F/O's for all bases.

Rove'd just a quick question what constitutes experienced for this type of operation?

Pearl CP hasn't bailed, and Aerorescue don't have an AOC yet, so CP is the Pearl CP. Experienced people always move through companies of this size and stature, its a natural progression for bigger and in some cases better things. If you are talking about the CP saga of 10 months ago, thats old and truly dead news.

Danger

Podbreak,
Yes the CP news might be 10 months old but the ramifications of Pearl turning their back on such a source of knowledge and experience will reverberate for a lot longer yet.

Red face

podbreak,
Aerorescue do have their own Chief Pilot. Because at the moment they operate under the Pearl AOC it means overall control is from the Pearl CP, but the day to day running of AR comes from their own CP, and it is he who has thrown his toys out of the cot.

Sure people will move on, but an operation of this type with an aircraft few have operated anything similiar, they should be trying to retain crews. Also engineering is at crisis point I hear. Pearl/Aerorescue sound out of their depth.

interesting, what goes around - comes back and haunts you!!

If the numbers are dwindling, the exit interview reports would make interesting reading.

Instability?

Are these pilots moving on, or moving out of the industry. There is no stability anywhere in the GA industry, and engineering is almost in crisis in most parts of the industry. It appears the major airlines are also having engineering problems.

I notice that their website shows positions available at "various locations". Applications close today. (Then probably reopen again on Monday.)

Has KL resigned then?

rove'd, point noted. Not particularly up to date with said company, however I know a chap driving there. From what I hear the organisation is professional but small, possibly too small to handle a contract of this size, as you alluded to. Implementing a new sizeable type to a small fleet is one hard task, building a company from scratch (Aerorescue) for a contract this size is near impossible. Therefore unless CP has brass balls, I'm not surprised he spat the dummy. As for the engineering...
