Engg after CPL

HI,

I am now 17 and i am from india.

I am going to sydney at Basair to take CPL. Since i dont have any degree, as i heard degree is important, Is it better to do aircraft maintenance engineering at sydney and when i do tht aftr my cpl,, i can work part time too as a pilot..

Is it better or is coming back to india and working with airlines as trainee pilot is better as there is a lot of shortage of pilots.

What are the possibilities of making it to an airline in australia .

Waiting for some suggestions from all of you

Most Australian Pilots dont get into the Airlines in Australia, so a foreign pilot has as much chance as a pig doing a back flip over the moon while humping a camel. However you will find you will recieve top training in Austalia for your CPL, and become a very employable pilot in India and i believe they are screaming for pilots over there anyway.

Good Luck

Thank you for you reply.

Situation in india as far as i know is very good for pilots even with just a cpl. But again can you tell me how much good doing a degree like AME or any other one will improve my future career.

Its the old question to have or not to have. I personally dont have one, but i suppose it would be better to have one than not!

Go for something such as a business degree, accounting, or such so on the likely chance aviation doesnt succeed for you after investing enough to keep an African nation supplied for a year, you have something to fall back on.
