Dude,

I dont know much about pay conditions etc but i guess anything will be better than skippers??

3 x Dash 8 -102 aircraft just delivered a couple of mths ago they picked up a good couple of contracts.

BAe 31 Jetstream rumoured to go? as it sits on the ground for most of the time nowdays. Their Jet is also up for sale and the Beech 200 king air?

Looks a nice company with steve young behind the controls

Cheers

So who ended up winning the WA government contract with the 850XP and B350 King Air?

Still up for tender, btw the government brought them so the contract is to maintain them. Why would maroomba want aircraft they cant use.

Got to dash

I heard the blue and yellow mob over the road are getting more Dash's, perhaps one of their old 100's is going across to Maroomba like their crew did???

I think I've seen that Jetstream taxiing about once or twice in the last few months!!!

Well, how is the WA charter market in the current resource boom? I would have thought there would be good opportunities for a chartered Citation in WA??

I may be wrong but I believe that the Dash 8 is operated and crewed by PNG MBA or QRA as they are called here.

They are from QRA, but crewed by Maroomba's own...well, ex blue and yellow crews anyway - take some pilots, get a hostie free!
Rumour is 3x 300s for that mob coming soon, but they are having problems (like casa says no) with high capacity aoc or so the story goes. Probably a blessing because I dunno where they will park the buggers not much free parking space left around PH that I can see, let alone out the front of their terminal. Glad it's not my problem.

Yep those Dashes are ex-QRA (Not much change of paint job required) Believe there was supposed to be a third but haven't seen it yet myself... crew from what I heard are mostly ex-Skippers guys with a lot of Dash time, hosties I believe came over from that side as well...

Zep, too bloody right, it's a friggin gridlock on a normal day with what that lot have already, let alone 2 or 3 more blasted Dash-8's!!! Trying to co-ordinate that...?! As you say, sure as hell glad it's not my problem!!!

Have you seen 'em run around on thursdays when they crosshire a Dash from NJS and a Metro from CAS? Trying to fit ONE extra Dash chokes the place!!
I don't think Network is getting away scottfree, how many braz do they have now? 5 with less space than the yellow and blue mob?! At least Maroomba has the "Skywest" parking space available to them.

Only on Thursdays?

Yes, I've seen it, would be quite funny if I didn't feel so sorry for their ground staff having to run around and deal with all the sh!t I'm sure happens during the peak times...!

I feel for the Network lot with their 5 Braz (and everything else) in that tiny apron; still, I've never seen 'em all there at the same time, so maybe their scheduling is smarter than down the road...

Anyway, back on topic... Maroomba... I heard they just picked up some big contract in the last few weeks, probably old news, I can't seem to recall who it was for though...

Maroomba may be having some desk time with CASA I hear with regard to operating high capacity aircraft on a low capacity AOC. Something to do with certificated passenger numbers above the magic 38 and an incorrect ruling made a few years ago by a certain JL.

In addition apparently there will be two DHC8-300s painted blue and yellow in October and another early next year. More asphalt to be laid as well.
