Origin Pacific sold?

Word around the camp fire is that origin has been sold and Inglis is getting out. To be anounced on Wednesday, so they say.

Anyone else know anything?

The are plenty of rumours around the camp fire in Nelson and that is just one of many.

RI is away overseas on an 'important' trip for Origin until Thursday, so I doubt if there will be anything in the news until then. We all live in hope.

I hear it will happen on Friday.
Someone who has alot of cash to waste at the moment is interested.
He will buy the AOC and the debt, take over leases and try and salvage the sinking ship - so I hear.
The question will be if RI accepts this deal will he be accepting defeat?
Not sure if he will be in for that as that is not what he is about but pride may have to be swallowed in this instance.

I think the time has come for RI to bow out. He is currently in Singapore holding discussions with a prospective buyer/s. There will be a media release on Friday which will hopefully spell out the future for OPAL as we know it.

Did the person who told you this rumour specify which Friday? And did they happen to be laughing when they told you? Enjoy the stroll up the garden path, i hear its nice this time of year.

ZK NSN, you make good point and in typical OPAL fashion they only ever specify a day and not a date, so wait and see I guess.

Hold on. What was that?

Sorry, thought I heard some truth to a rumour about OP but it was just a pin dropping. My bad.

The news gets worse...Tait communications owed $15000 for leased radios, Envirowaste owed $$ as skip bin in Nelson resembles an erupting volcano. I guess if the company is to be sold all outstanding debts become someone else's problem

I wonder if CAA will act on aircraft being below par or will they keep turning a blind eye?
