Mooney wheels up at Maroochy?

Didn't pick up where it was, just north of Brisbane.

Just saw the report on the ch10 news.

Mooney M20 looked very much undamaged. The report said it was "textbook" but they also said that the a/c was a "Cessna".

Apparently wheels just failed to come down.

Any more info?

It looked like a recent model mooney, and had the same paint seem as the ovation that was in the trader a few moths back.

I tried to find an email to send a correction to channel ten but there is nothing on their site just snail mail for breeches of the TV code as the only recourse.

Don't bother trying to correct them. As far as the newsrooms are concerned if it isn't an airliner it's a Cessna

Cessna, Thermos, BAND-AID, Lilo...etc. Cessna means "Those little aeroplanes that always just 'fall' out of the sky...
