Skytrans want you!

As everyone is probably aware, Skytrans is hiring again. I can't decide whether or not to update my resume and apply or simply stay at my current job. If anyone has a friend in the know or is actually working there they might be able to help me out with a few questions.

1. What is the progression like from bongo to 404 and is it possible to be put straight onto the 310 or 404?

2. Will I do a lot of night hours?

3. What is the pay like (figures please)?

4. Will Skytrans pay for interstate relocation?

Thanks!

Great company to work for. in answer to your questions,

1. everyone starts on the 310 and the bongo. 310 first, it then can take anywhere from 3 months 18 months to get on the 404 depending on movement. at the moment it is typically 3 - 4 months.

2. NO - maybe a couple of hours of month

3. 310 drivers start on 42K and then it goes up for 404 and B200

4. AS IF.

Average is around 6mths. People have gone straight onto the 404. Seniority means nothing

2. Will I do a lot of night hours?
No. Generally enough to keep current.

3. What is the pay like (figures please)?
310 - $40k
404 - $42k
The old system had a pay increase for ppl who had been there a year....it doesn't apply anymore.
You can forget any allowances other than overnights.

4. Will Skytrans pay for interstate relocation?

Bwwwwhhhhhaaaaaaahhhhaaaaaaa .........Its a GA company sonny!

G,day Locknut loosen up a little mate. Move to Cairns for the lifestyle, meet some good boyz drink some rumbos and root some chicks. Skytrans probably the best GA company in the world; I can honestly say I wouldn't be where I am now without them

I know the company and have used them (charter to PNG in C310) and was incredible impressed with the whole operation including their chief pilot - RA.
It was obviously a very professional and focussed aviation operation.
The C310 pilot who flew us to Daru in PNG left shortly after (I think) for Cathay. He was very impressive and professional every day even when well and truly out of sight of his head office.

Controllers generally find their pilots to be pretty good, but RA, you're going to have to remind them yet again to answer radio calls.
