Charlie Philcox

Didnt know the gent but pass it on for those who may have had a connection.

Hi Everybody,

Regrettably, sad news. Charlie Philcox passed away yesterday at his home in North Arm Cove, Port Stephens, NSW.

Chas flew mainly Sabre aircraft with fighter squadrons at Williamtown, Butterworth Malaysia and Ubon Thailand. He joined Qantas Airways mid-1960s, ultimately retiring as a Boeing 747-400 Captain a few years ago, after his second wife died suddenly. He then relocated to North Arm Cove where he has since lived alone. He underwent surgery last year for removal of a lung and appeared to have responded well to radiation and chemotherapy treatments.

Funeral arrangements will be advised when known.

Kindly circulate this notification via RAAF and Qantas mediums

Regards to all,

BRIAN DIROU
