Question Life Insurance cover in GA

apologies if this seems too soon, and it's not strictly GA, but it is topical.

RE: the C206 that crashed near Ipswich - would the family of the pilot receive any financial compensation for the loss of their son?

is there any sort of automatic cover for pilots in Para ops?

dunno if this operator was typical, but IF they position was unpaid, what is the likelihood for Life Cover?

Re: Life Insurance cover in GA

Huntsman,
I am going to cause more question than answers.

1. As a director of a company, if I have an accident, there would be no cover due to me on behalf of the company or Workcover.
2.Any employee (pilot) should be covered by WorkCover.
3. I have found only one company that will cover for low level work and Ag. Premiums are alright if you don't smoke.
I don't know what the situation is if you are working for nothing.
If you have filled out a TFN Declaration form for that company, you should be covered. This may not be the case, however.
