Single engine holiday flying in NZ with JAA license
Hi there,
My wife and myself (European nationals) are planning on one week of single engine holiday flying in NZ next february.
I've an ICAO/JAA ATPL (A330 captain,+8000hrs, with recent S/E experience), my wife has a JAA PPL with +250hrs. I've some airline experience flying into CHC and AKL, but no local G/A experience.
We did some research on this forum and others, and understand that my license conversion would be quite easy, while hers would need a flight test.
Can anybody describe what exactly is needed for the conversion and the flight test?
Also, our point of entry would be either Christchurch or Auckland.
Any recommendations on flying schools/rentals on the above?
I know there is quite a large school opposite the terminal in CHC, can anybody give me some email contacts? Can't find their website.
Thanks a lot for the info,
Best regards,
EK380

If you want everything done for you it might be worth looking at Flyinn Tours. I haven't tried it myself but I am seriously considering it. www.flyinn.co.nz
