Rex $$$

Can anyone provide some light on what a FO takes home with Rex.

Looking at wagenet.gov.au, it seems start at about $39k without allowances.

What sort of allowances can be expected?

What is the current bond arrangement? $$$ and period?

Looking at about $7-8K in allowances per year give or take. The bond at the mo is $15K for two years pro-rata, hope this helps out give us a yell if more required.

Compare that to an new EAA FO who GROSSES about $18 000 in their first year (includes endo cost, 4 mths probation pay, and 3 months without pay during training).

Rostered for the usual 5 with 2 RDOs scattered appropriately, but reserve days is location and aircraft type dependant and typically changes over time anyway. Some rarely get one in a month while others might regularly get rostered a couple every week - for a while.

I would guess a Sydney base would give you a take-home of nothing.

C'mon ... Real Estate has gone down a bit these days in the big smoke.

Now, you can pick up a 1 bed room dump in the suburb of $hitsville for under 400K. The money you save can now go on the $40/week we all spend on tolls to use the roads that I thought we had already paid for with tax?

... Just waiting for my company to open a base in Cairns, waiting, waiting?
