Any VICPol chopper crews out there?

What's the policy regarding "giving someone a lift" to a Police station with a nearby playing field to land on?

Seems like it might be okay as I just watched it happen!!!

The guys land on the pier behind the Williamstown Police Station just fine to pick up/drop off Search and Rescue etc.

Professional and friendly lot too.

Sunfish,

It is common practice for Police/Search and Rescue and Ambulance tasks. Whilst the crews prefer the passenger to go to Essendon they will collect at an oval park or paddock if operationally expedient and safe to do so. Unless it is for the above reason out landings do not occur.

Hope this answers your question.
