Yeah i'd agree with a 737. A feature of its undercarraing is that the main wheels have no doors. The wheel hub sits flush with the airframe when retracted. From the picture there doesn't look to be any doors, just a circular hub.
Out of interest is this a feature exclusive to the 737 or does anyone know of any other large jets with a similar design?

And it's obviously pre-OHS days. No gay bar fluoro vest and no hearing protection, tsk tsk
Would that rule out a 737 NG then?

Gee...this competition is getting tough!
Photo was taken from the Stbd wheel well, by persons unknown at this time, but may earn you extra points for guessing! (tinpis ?)
The captain is standing in the port wheel well, facing aft. Cannot quite make out the brand of watch he is wearing. Nice gold one..retirement present? The time is 10:33am.
And I've seen that tarmac before..?

Not a 737, as the bottom of the well is at the guys neckline, and he doesn't look like a midget, also not 727, as he can jsut walk out without dropping his head. Not enough gear door for Airbus.
My best guess would be C-152 (or mabey MD-88)
