Aircalin

Flying to NOU on Aircalin next week for the first time. Just wondering what their setup is. Are they contract pilots? Where are they based? Do they have mixed fleet flying on the busses?

Aircalin pilots are all french. You require a french(JAA) licence, the right to permantely live and work in europe. Most guys either are low hour cadets getting experience before heading back to Air France or are old school looking for a cushy job to retire.

I believe that you either fly the fag jet or you fly the ATR, but not both. Good pay as well. As a start up F/O on the ATR i you would get about $4000 US a month.

Thanks, Freddy - very informative.
When I mentioned mixed fleet flying though I was referring to CCQ on the 320/330.
