Polar's battle with CASA has been well documented on a number of websites (including CASA's, and pprune). Basically, CASA pulled the AOC, and the chief pilot approval of the owner. The operator was given a "stay" until these issues could be brought before a court. It wasn't until this last week that the case was heard, and in the end, the court found CASA could not adequately prove their position.

I think the only reason he won is because he has got a sh!tload of money and, there was a very personal touch to it. I heard he had a caveat on the guys from CASA's personal homes.

Put the wind up them I think.

They are on VERY thin ice now................they have just got to hope that they don't stuff up in any small way.

Good luck to them anyway
