Maroochy Aero Club beach landing - oops
as i read it, an 'employee' of Fogarty's ran out of juice with two students in the back and landed on the beach 1km short of Maroochy airport.

Well an aeroplane runs out of fuel roughly every 10 days in this country so we should expect this type of thing occasionally. They are only the reported ones too. If an Instructor runs out of fuel, surely CASA will have to look into the Organisational Culture to see if that needs a little polish or not.

As I read it, he experianced "technical difficulties". Yep, difficulty in reading a fuel gague.
How you chew through your cruise fuel PLUS 45 minutes reserve on a trip to Dalby and back has got me stummped. Might want to dip those tanks next time.
