Securi-TAY, securi-TAY, securi-TAY. Bollocks.
I posted a question to ATC on the Ground Ops/ATC forum on the above, and would be interested in the pilot perspective on a 'third level emergency'.
If it's in my (Australian) BAK book then should it be in AIP. Or, it it bollocks and shouldn't be in the BAK book

Spod, you'll hear it quite a bit if you're a boatie. Coastal Base stations such as AVCGA and RVCP will prefix a safety message to vessels in the area as such. This is usually done on both 27meg and VHF 16/73, or a local VHF repeater such as VHF 81 - which is a channel freq in the 167.## range (it's been too long - Zarg are you around?)
As far as an aviation applicacation goes, you'll be hard pressed to actually find a VHF or 27meg frequency that will be in your comm stack that will also be in use in marine circles, unless of course one flies a floaty, coastwatch etc!
Spectrum Management Authority have the info about frequencies that are in use by what parts of what industries. A RROCP will also open your eyes a bit, if you'd like to know more.

OpsN.
