Angel Who's going to Avalon?

Hello All
Just a simple question or two..
Who is going to Avalon?
Is it worth a 3-4 day stay?
What's the camping set-up like at Lara?

I didnt go to the last one, but the camping setup was quite good! with a BBq area, Kiosk type setup, with amenities, toilts showers etc, all in a central location, great community atmosphere! i usually nick off when the public arrives on friday.

Dunno if I am right or not but Avalon seems a bit down on the last one (attendances) maybe it will pick up with the arrival of GA aircraft today?

Well.. I went .. I saw.. and I enjoyed.

We stayed at Lara from Wed night till Sunday morning.
We were treated very well.
Meals were great at the Lara Sports Club.
Security guys were around and friendly.
Met some great people, and hope to catch up with them again.
They had the "Cruiser Girl and Woodstock Girl" at the sports club on sat night.
Guess most missed out on that one!
But being female, I wanted the "Bundy Boys"

Shell Aerosports Tent was a haven to us.
Trade days were good, but the public days were just on par.
Flying displays were good, but I have seen most before.

Only hassle for the whole show to me, was the departure off out of th main rwy.
We were helded up for over 1 hour on the taxi way. Thought I would overheat, or be prop fodder for the Customs Dash 8 behind us...

And yes I will return in two years time...
Yes I will fly in again.

Avid One

Have you read the other posts on Avalon by myself enquiring about peoples comments on the show.

Quite a few interesting suggestions and comments.!

"Avalon Airshow is it worth it" not trying to belittle it at all just looking for comments.
