Insurance for private flying overseas

I asked this question about 18 months ago and did not get very far with the couple of leads offered, so I'll try again as the possibility is coming up again

Looking at travelling to Alaska with Mrs Stall to hire a 180 and do a couple of weeks putting around the countryside.

Only trouble is getting insurance for me. One insurance company will cover passengers provided the aircraft is flown under the aviation rules of the nation, but pax only.

Any pointers from anyone as to who offers an insurance for (ATPL etc) pilots to fly privately overseas in a VFR lightie?

Cheers
