ATPL Pilots - Current numbers.

ATPL Pilots - Current numbers.
I am doing some research about current pilot numbers in Australia and I want to reconcile the data from CASA FCL with the numbers actually employed in various airlines in Australia.
Could people with accurate figures post below so I can update the following list. It may be of interest generally to see what the big end of town requires.
Looking for TOTAL pilot numbers Capt/FO/SO.
Qantas = 2250 pilots
Australian Airlines= 75 pilots
Jetstar= 200 pilots
Eastern Airlines= 250 pilots
Sunshine Express= 24 pilots
Pelair= 49 pilots
Transair= 23 pilots
Airlink (Dubbo)= 12 pilots
O'Connor= 21 pilots
Alliance Airlines=
Regional Pacific=
Sunstate=
Virgin Blue= 580 pilots
Regional Express=
Aeropelican=
M@cair=
Skywest= 50 pilots
National Jet=
Air North=
Skippers=
Pearl Aviation= 50 pilots
In addition there is the RFDS...
RFDS South East
RFDS Central
RFDS Qld=
RFDS West= 26 pilots
In 2001 there were 6427 ATPL(A) licence holders.
In 2002, 424 ATPLs were issued and there were 5,969 in total.
In 2003, 387 ATPLs were issued and there were 6,046 in total.
In 2004, 373 ATPLs were issued and there were 6,025 in total.

Why only those companies?
What about the following companies:
Airnorth
Skippers
Sunshine Express
Jet-cr@ft
Pelair
Transair
Airlink (Dubbo)
O'Connor
Alliance Airlines
Regional Pacific
These companies are larger or equal to Aeropelican, M@cair and Skywest. All of the above operate aircraft that require two crew.

Perhaps also add NJS to the list? In any event, the resultant numbers may not be truly reflective of all the ATPLs issued by CASA. This is because there are many people like myself who keep their Oz ATPL current but work overseas.

dirtylittlefokker not really helpful as an AOC gives no indication of number of pilots eg VB vs Skywest etc.
Only one reply so far about VB numbers. Any more useful info?
I can always ring every airline but I will get some PR ditz giving me an out of date spiel.
comebychance done. I am happy to add these.
ozexpat yes thank you for stating the obvious! There are plenty of ATPL holders flying single engine VFR. I know this. The TOTAL figures are available from CASA, I am looking for a breakdown.

Nunc est bibendum
QF seniorority list shows 2234 as at 1 Jun 04. Factor in 12 a month (or thereabouts) for the next six months and you're pretty close. This will include all AO drivers as well.
However, not all of those 2300(ish) will be ATPL holders. Some will still only hold the basic CPL and will be awaiting hours fo qualify for the award of their ATPL.

A good thread - I too would be very interested to see the numbers.
Also the RFDS is a major employer, although some may not have ATPL.
At last report, WA section had about 26 pilots.
Then there is QLD, SE section and Central also.

icarus,
What do the yearly ATPL figures mean - given the licence is perpetual (my little green book says so) is that the number of people alive today with one, or is it the number of people with ATPLs and current class 1 medicals?
