ATPL Pilots - Current numbers.

The figures are on the CASA website here...http://www.casa.gov.au/avreg/fcl_lic/fcl_req.htm
and are for ATPL holders with a "current medical that enables the holder to exercise the priveleges of their licence."

So one would assume Class 1 medical for CPL and above.

Looking at the figures in my first post it looks like Qanthais, VB and Jetstar employ around 3000 pilots. Most of whom would hold an ATPL. That accounts for about half of the ATPL holders in Australia.

Transair would have about 23 approx. with probably a bit over half with an ATPL. This includes Big Sky Express.

So that is 3,584 pilots so far.

What about some input from drivers at Skippers, National Jet, Air North etc?
