Question Paying for Ratings????

Gidday all,

Im just a newbie on the scene and I just wanted to know if its standard practice for the company to pay for you to gain ratings in thier aircraft in NZ for commercial ops, or have I got it backwards?

Any thoughts out there,

You will find it depends who you work for - as far as most commercial ops (75%) go they will usually pay for your type rating and required checks.
In some cases you can expect to be bonded to the employer following this - This also extends through to the airline scene (probably more so).
