QF & Quantas Link Payscales

People,

1. You start at QF as a Second Officer (Cruise Pilot). What is the starting salary?

2. Quantas Link, What do you start on their? Do they take direct entry Captains?

QF rstes. Between 1040 and 1140 credit hours per annum depending on how busy we are. If you're a rotator, you could drop to about 1010 credit hours ro so.

S/O pay rates for the first 12 months are:
60.46 per credit hours for the first six months and 64.69 for the next. After that it goes to specific fleet pay. 744 is 79.90, A330 is 76.11, 747 is 73.89 and 767 is 68.38.

Overtime will play into that. 744 gets the most with up to 20-30 hours of O/T per bid period and there are 6 1/2 of them per annum so between 130 and 200 hours of O/T per annum on that aircraft. Lesser amounts for S/Os on the other aircraft types.

www.wagenet.gov.au and do a search for AIPA and you'll get all the questions about the QF award answered.

Qantaslink is s bit harder. Do you mean the Dash 8 operation operated by Eastern and Sunnies or the BAe146 operation operated by National Jet or the 717 operation to be operated by either NJS or JQ?

Regards,

sorry this makes no sense. what roughly does an SFO on the 744 take per year.

Also what is the progression ladder with time scales e.g SFO (two years) - FO 737 (Three years) - FO 744 ???

F/O 744 takes about 10 years.

So, go to wagenet, look up the '10 year' 744 pay rates, times that by about 1040 and add about another 120 hours worth of overtime and you should have the 744 salary within about 5%.

You've been given the link to answer ANY question you may have about QF- including how much sick leave, annual leave, etc, etc. If you actually use it and the advice you've been given already, you'll find the answer.
