RACWA Again!
Sorry guys....just to reinterate this question...
Any of you care to share your experiences of this place? Any good alternative places I should look at?
Asked before, but didn't explain that I just want to get checked out (UK ATPL holder) and do a bit of fun flying- very rusty on single engine piston stuff and never flown in Oz so will need a few hours dual - where should I be looking in the Perth area for the instruction?
Any must see sights to take in from the air while I'm in the area?
Thanks.
G

Try all the schools (well most of em) before you choose one. you will find one with everything your looking for without to much trouble. some schools (like MINOVATION) do the thing you want to do, more often than others, so they are on the game with requirements Ect.

If you think you can get the ok to fly in Aust within 2 hours you are outta touch buddy. Different rules and familiarisation with area is a must so I would suggest a good briefing and a short navex. Most schools will require at least 2 hours in general handling just for insurance purposes. Get your temporary licence from CASA first and start calling around. Aviod the big schools as they have instructors that can barely fly themselves because they are soooo young. Find a school that treats you as a person and not a number or $$ signs. Some small schools are also money hungry so beware. My recommendations are Minovation (who specialise on UK to AUS conversion) , the Aeroplane Company and Jandakot Flight Centre. All of these are tructworthy and have good CFI's and well rounded and aged instructors. Goodluck!!
