Amazing- Slingair advertising for pilots. I thought there were hundreds in that town doing all sorts of things to get a gig.

Or is this a "go get all the endorsements and we'll look at you" type of job?

For those interested I have just read in the Avition Daily that Shenzen Airlines are looking for 60 pilots in the next few months, mainly from outside China including Australia. I have no further details other than they empoyed about 50 non-nationals last year in what appears to be a growing trend in Chinease aviation.

That'll do wonders for the morale of senior pilots already working there, waiting for their twin gig to happen!! They'd be as happy as the mob down the road at Alligator i'd reckon!!

I imagine the hundreds of pilots in Kunny wouldn't have 500 hours multi and IFR rating though .

Incidently how much do outback twin pilots get (I'm sure it's not much and it's been discussed before but a quick post would help )

I'll guess that a reasonably "experienced" (500 hrs multi / IFR etc) pilot would be on about $36k.

So the pilot is on $36k and the labourer he/she flies to a minesite to carry out manual labout type work would be on about $55k.
