DHL 727 in NZAA

Every day there is the DHL 727 parked up in AA.

I was wondering is it crewed by DHL or by a contract company?

Any thoughts on its existance/operation would be greatly appreciated.

Waldo, I can categorically confirm it's existence.
I understand it is a contract situation and as recently as late last year i heard they were looking for drivers. 5000TT with a type rating was the rumour then. Don't quote me on this 'cause what I know is second hand from guys around me who claimed to be (marginally?) interested.
Perhaps someone else has some hard facts?

Makes a nice noise when it takes-off

The 727 operates as Asian Express Airlines.

Beauty, Nice one chaps

Has that feeling like it would be a good gig. Across the ditch and back every night in the aircraft most would say is the best ever bulit for a pilot.

It used to get a few pilots from the RNZAF, but since most of their drivers now fly the Koru and the 757 has arrived who knows. Maybe Express will upgrade to a 757 too??
