New a/c vs. old a/c

I would like to here comments on the pro's and con's of new vs old aircraft.

What is the financial gap between say an old vs new C206? Considering, capital outlay, insurance, resale, depriecation, maintenance.

At what annual hourly (turnover) point does new meet old (financially) over the next 5 years?

Many flying schools who do large annual hours use new tobagos or new C172. Do they achieve financial capability through private investment, lower insurance, hourly turnover, efficiency or a combination etc?
