AirServices Navigation tower on Mt Bellevue

Can someone help with some information here. With regard to Mt Bellevue, my cousin is adamant there is a tower on the ridge line that belongs to AirServices as an air navigation installation. As my ERCs do not show any facility there I am curious to find out what the tower actualy does. It is not a phone tower and regarding the topography it is not the highest point in the area or have clear line-of-sight transmission to any airfield in the area.

Just curious here and I am in no way implying that this has anything to do with current events.

Regards

Mark

It's not a UHF repeater according to this list . The Bellevue repeater listed there is in NSW (Bellevue 2794).
