Question Broome - How to go about getting the first flying job??

Hi All,

I will be in Broome within the next coupla weeks to go and pay a visit to a few operators and to check out the area with a mate of mine.

We were wondering what the best way was in showing interest to the operators in the area for a flying job starting next dry deason (2005).

Do we just rock up at any ole time and ask to speak to the chief pilot?? Or do they liked to be called up first and asked to schedule a time??

How have some other people that are currently working in their first GA flying job up north/north-west approached getting work for the first time?? Is there any advice that can be given to make myself more competitive than others or is it all in the timing and the requirements.

And finally - is there anything that I shouldn't do in any respects?? Are there any operators that I should stay well clear of?? What about the good operators - any suggestions there would also be helpful.

Thanks a lot............
