psych tests: do they target specific types??
Hi all,
Been doing a bit of reading about personality and motivatio tests like the ones used in QF testing. All say that honesty and not second guessing answers, or putting yourself in someone elses shoes is crucial. They also say that although you must be honest, the books also say that particular types of questions are looking for particular types of answer's...
These books will also have sample questions with the suggested types of answers. They also say that if you do a bit of practise on similar tests before the big day, and have an idea what sort question you are being asked, it can aid you in being more yourself and consistant with your answers, than if you went in not knowing to expect...
I know guy's who have been to psychologists and found them to be good and bad preparation, and guy's who have had much better luck the second time round. Is it because they are more mature, or because they have now had some exposure to this type of testing??
I know this has been the subject of mass-debate, but would like to hear from guy's who have passed/failed or know something about the testing...
As for me, I hope to go through it sometime later this year, I'm sure anyone one with this stage coming up would be keen to hear from your experience, good or bad...
Cheers...
