Lightbulb Create Your Own Waypoint, And Save it.

Have a look at this site, you can create your own waypoint, and save it as wallpaper if you want to.

Of course there will be Nav Charges if I catch any of you flying over "HUGHES".

So you better go direct!!

Dont forget you will need to be tuned to " An Appropriate Frequency"!!

Cheers, HH.

I loved the waypoints on the Brisbane Star we flew today.
Leaky-Boats-Sinkk were three in a row. I think this is a great idea and had a really good laugh as I was self briefing the arrival.

Somebody at work has saved these on the desktop at a few computers, showing the waypoint "sh1t creek". A keen effort since out employer blocked posting to the forums.

There are two waypoints almost on the MA-BN route that the RAAF uses to train it's air-air refuelling, and they are not listed in the ERSA. We got asked to track via "EXXON - VALDZ"...

There used to 3 waypoints located at 150 DME from Diego Garcia (on 3 different air routes) that were named: WHATA, BUMMR, MOMMA

Obviously, someone from the USAF didn't fancy being posted there, and took out his/her frustrations when waypoint names were being sought. I don't know whether these waypoints are still named so.

How do you get one for real??

Our company has standard routes of which one of the waypoints is an intersection of tracks from 2 NDB's and it's a pain in the nuts to have to always givethe coordinates.

Can we get this point made a waypoint and named?

What is the procedure??

There's an unpublished route in north Queensland, the name of which escapes me at the moment, which was named after one of the controllers in Radar Approach much to his displeasure. It goes:

ITORT
ITAW
APUT
ETAT

and the missed approach is

In the Darwin FIR there used to be several named after CAA FOI's... or they may have been coincidence...
