Jobs in Kalgoorlie

Hi, I am looking to move to that area from NZ and wondered
if anyone had any idea of any jobs in the area.
I only have around 280 hours cpl/multi.

Any info would be great!

Cheers

Plenty, apparently, if you 'put on the red light'.

Try GAS (Goldfields Air Services). They have Cessna 210, 310s and 402s. Majority of the work in Kal is twin time.

AAA charter if they still exist will be down to just the 182RG and maybe a cross hired 210?.

If you have an instructor rating then I guess you may even try the aeroclub but I'm not sure is the club is still running.

Titan is on the money.

Try them in that order. Rumours of a bit of turnover from progression up the food chain at the first mentioned one as well.

Cloudcover,

I'd think a more northern town would be better with those hours, you'd realistically be looking at around 1000TT and either IFR or Instructor rating to get a look in at GAS, and i'm not sure how much work AAA do.

You'd progress faster at one of the community/scenic companies up North in my opinion.

Give it a go though by all means, good luck.

White Rat, you seem to have a lot of spare time on your hands lately. Sure you don't want to come back? The Weapon awaits.

Cloudcover, take the Rats advice. However, if you really want to make Kalgoorlie your home, the 'Senior Line Pilot' at AAA is always on the lookout for more disciples.
