NZ PiperCub Rating

Could anyone please advise on the availability of Cub/Supercub ratings and availability for hire in NZ?

I have made some enquiries but it seems that 95% are for private use only

Thanks is advance

There are a couple in NZTG which can be used for type ratings. Go see the lads @ Bay Flight there are a few instructors around who would guide you in the wright direction.

Prob do a cashee as well if you ask nicely

Canterbury aero club has one on line. Marlborough had one until relatively recently. They now have an ex Royal Navy Chipmunk on line instead

Pretty sure Kapiti Aero Club still has one, they use it as a lead in for the Tiger Moth. Try www.kapitiaeroclub.co.nz

Devil

Try Flight 2000 at Ardmore Auckland. They used to have use of a cub. If not go see the Phillpotts clan at Ardmore ( if they are still there, they know their stuff with cubs).
Dale was a good cub pilot from memory, i taught him all i know .....no comments on that one
