i have been offered a job in Africa as a trainee first officer...I have a FAA AND DGCA license..I AM DO-228 ENDORSED ON INDIAN DGCA LICENSE ONLY.... my IR has expired 2 years back....i have an UK rt which are valid....the company requires me to have a current IR AND ENDORSEMENT ON FAA LLICENSE.. ...
PS: how do i endorse it on my faa license...do i need to get US rt....I DO NOT WANT TO COME TO THE USA TO DO THE CHECKRIDE..plzz help thanx |
First of all, I don't know what a "rt" is.
There is no sim for a DO-228 on the current FAA simulator list so you will have to find a DO-228 and an FAA Inspector or DE rated in the DO-228. Where the checkride takes place does not matter. |
thanx much for the post......i have been trying to find a FAA examiner but unable to do so....thts the issue.....a/c is available though in germany...........wht is DE rated????????/

DE = Designated Examiner, which you will usually hear referred to as a DPE or Designated Pilot Examiner. They are not employees of the FAA, but they have authority from the FAA to do checkrides.

Luckily for you, tonight's the night I visit the mother country.
Why don't you ask these guys nicely if they can help with an FAA check ride. I do hope you are not contributing to this African airline's coffers in exchange for a supposed job. A two year expired IR makes you a very rusty pilot and there are many out there who would relieve you of lakhs of rupees under false impertinences. DO228 Full-Flight-Simulator |
