UVSC Online Degree
Hi there,
Does anyone of you have done a UVSC online degree? I visited their website because I'm looking for a online degree, especially in Aviation. I met a Chief Pilot in San Antonio, Tx, who told me that I may earn a degree through that "school". But I don't know exactly how to think about that stuff, it seems to be so expensive for only "some courses" on basics aviation topics... Yeah, I know, studying in the US costs a lot and you can get a credit hour at a worth price.. But anyway, on the http://www.aviationuniversity.com/, I had a free try out, and I could check out how is the course.. What the hell is that? I had some lines about General Aviation, that's the course's topic (what's a private pilot, what's NBAA...). I'd say it was a little bit confusing because you had only a lecture on General Aviation like an article you could read in the AOPA's mag (e.g ..) and at the end some shorts quizz. Well, I know once again, that quizz is the way of getting some grades at a US university, and my experience of being a student in Europe reminded me that there is a big difference between the assesment in the US and in Europe. And by the way it costs a lot! You have to pay a lot of bucks to get this online degree. I have to say, I felt very disapointed about the UVSC program, unless that's the same thing across the country, across all the online aviation degree. True feedback would be really appreciated... I hope I'm wrong... But I'm not very convinced...
