Smile Aztec crash/forced landing in IL?

Hi

Does anyone know anything about said incident couple of days ago in Barrington, near Chicago, IL? Think it said no-one was hurt
Caught a snippet on the radio in the morning.....

Correct, Noone was hurt. aircraft destroyed. one of my students was in the cleanup crew and he said the pilot was shaken but not injured.
They brought the wreckage back to my home airport (PWK).

No information on what happened though.

Hey, glad to hear the pilot was unhurt.

I'm working close to PWK at the mo, for Allstate in Buffalo grove. Last time I was over one of the PAPA board was kind enough to take me up in his Saratoga (Ray Dash). But I've just been informed by the FAA that they cant process my temp airmans cert because the CAA need more forms in (new process since I applied) so no solo for me till I go home in February.
