King Air 350 starting

Hello all

Our company is upgrading from King Air 200s to the 350. Could anyone tell me why does the 350 AFM call for a battery start
with props full forward, but an external start calls for feathered?
We currently do both of these starts with props full forward. and with what the AFM states in mind, do any experienced
350 operators have any recommendations.
Thanks so much.

I was taught that it was mostly as a courtesy to the poor line guy who has to disconnect the plug after start.

As Keebird stated, it's a safety issue for line personnel who are disconnecting the power cable.
